Sleep Apnea is an illness that slowly impacts the body negatively and we do not even come to know. It has the potential to cause great damage. Simply put, sleep apnea is a disorder in which our breathing repeatedly starts and stops as we sleep. It is also a disorder that needs to be addressed as soon as we realize we have it.
If you snore loudly, or if you feel tired even after a full night’s sleep, you may be suffering from sleep apnea. Do not take it lightly. Get it investigated. It can be managed and you can heal and live a full life.
Why am I sharing this with you ? Sleep apnea impacted my life for a very long period of time. I suspect it impacted my life for over two decades and slowly crept in till my life reached a state of near total collapse. As I look back it impacted everything in my life. No aspect was spared. At the time of writing this blog my treatment has started and my health is improving day by day, and so is my quality of life.
I am not writing from a doctor’s perspective. I am sharing from the perspective of someone who suffered. And I am sharing from the intention of spreading awareness such that no one else suffers.
